S&P 500 Gets Tech Boost: CrowdStrike, KKR, GoDaddy To Be Added

A shakeup is coming to the S&P 500! Three companies are being added to the influential index to better reflect the current market landscape. According to S&P Dow Jones Indices, cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike (CRWD), private equity giant KKR (KKR), and web hosting company GoDaddy (GDDY) will be joining the S&P 500 on June 24th. These additions are seen as a better fit for the large-cap range of the index.
To make room for the newcomers, three existing members are being shuffled to more appropriate indexes. Staffing company Robert Half (RHI) and financial services company Comerica (CMA) will be moving to the S&P SmallCap 600, while biotechnology firm Illumina (ILMN) will be joining the S&P MidCap 400.
